Flights to Cyprus
When looking for flights to Cyprus there are two main airports to consider. Paphos Airport on the west coast of Cyprus and Larnaca Airport towards the south east coast of Cyprus.
Larnaca Airport
Larnaca Airport is the largest and most popular airport in Cyprus, with approximately 5 million people flying through the airport each year. Larnaca is situated towards the south east coast of the island and flights to Larnaca Airport are popular with tourists travelling to destinations such as Ayia Napa and Protaras.
Paphos Airport
Paphos Airport is the smaller of the two airports in Cyprus with 1.5 million people using the airport each year. Flights to Paphos are a popular choice for tourists who have booked a holiday towards the west side of the island. We would also recommend flying to Paphos if travelling to locations such as Limassol or Pissouri.
The map below shows the locations of Larnaca Airport and Paphos Airport.
Peak Seasons
If you are wondering when to book your flights to Cyprus, the summer lasts approximately between May and October although unlike other mediteranian islands, the resourt of Paphos remain open during the winter period. Flying to Cypurs will be busier and usually more expensive during the school holidays, so if you are planning on travelling Cyprus without the kids, try avoiding this peak period.
