Neptune's Retreat is a privately owned, newly built, spacious villa for rent, with fabulous seaviews, situated on a peaceful hillside, close to the beautiful, safe, unspoilt Blue Flag beach and a short walk from at least 14 (at last count!) restaurants and tavernas, as well as the shops and other facilities of the quiet but surprisingly well served rural seaside village of Pissouri Bay, Cyprus.

Pissouri Bay is situated midway between Paphos and Limassol and is set at the southern end of a narrow valley filled with vineyards and other greenery. The villa is a 15-minute drive from Paphos airport and less than an hour from Larnaca airport.

Set at the southern end of a small valley bordered to both east and west by craggy hills and filled with vineyards, the sumptuously-fitted villa sleeps 8 to 10 people with spectacular south-facing seaviews from the living areas and all bedrooms, so every guest can wake up to the sights and sounds of the sea. Guests can open the panoramic floor to ceiling windows to experience the cooling sea breezes that waft through the villa, or make use of the air-conditioning or attractive ceiling fans.

We recommend that you try to persuade your partner to bring you a leisurely breakfast relaxing in bed, savouring the seaviews through the floor to ceiling panoramic windows! Or if your powers of persuasion fail, then join your family for an al fresco meal on the beautifully tiled patio next to the sparkling pool.

Outdoor living is a part of the beauty of Neptune's Retreat. This beauty can be enjoyed from 8 sun loungers, a table with 8 chairs and an extensively paved area that includes ample space for barbeque buffs to cook without smoking out the rest of the party. Electric retractable awnings have been installed on the patio and on the upstairs terrace for when shade is required.

There is an extra-large 13m by 4m pool with a wide shallow stepped area to one side where children can swim or play while remaining within their depth. More serious swimmers can cavort in the deeper areas or do laps to work off all the calories you will undoubtedly gain during your holiday.

The villa is set in an extensively planted tropical/Mediterranean garden and paved patio area, filled with a wide variety of plants, trees and flowers. The western side of the patio is attractively stone clad and an extensive rock garden sits above the pool area. Guests can enjoy a hot or cold outdoor shower while savouring views of the hills and bay, and then relax with a sun-downer in the grassy upper garden, away from the pool activities.

Value for money

Neptune's Retreat compares very favourably for value with the renowned 5 star Columbia Resort complex nearby, the only hotel on Pissouri Bay. While of course the villa does not benefit from the daily service that guests enjoy at the Columbia, this level of services comes at a very high cost - the range of private facilities and space available at Neptune's Retreat are far better than a group of 4-8 people will benefit from at the hotel, at about a quarter to one third of the cost. Location:
Neptune's Retreat is an easy short walk to the 2km long Blue Flag beach, and there is a wonderful selection of restaurants, shops, well stocked local supermarkets, a bank and ATM, car and bike hire and other facilities available in the local village. The 5 star Columbia Beach Hotel and Resort, with superb restaurants, spa and leisure facilities, is an easy stroll away;

Pissouri village, set in the hills behind the Bay, with a further wide range of restaurants and bars, is a mere five minute drive away

Golf: Two championship golf courses (Aphrodite Hills and Secret Valley) are a ten minute scenic drive from the villa.

Other activities: The glorious Troodos mountains for hiking in summer and ski-ing in winter are 30 minutes away, while numerous archaeological sites are nearby, making Neptune's Retreat an ideal home from home and a wonderful base to explore the beauties of Cyprus. Bed linen, bath and beach towels are provided. Air conditioning and/or central heating, broadband internet and multi-channel TV is available.
